Courtesy Call on Foreign Minister Iwaya by Mr. Daren Tang, Director General, World Intellectual Property Organization

On February 12, commencing at 5:30 pm, for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- Minister Iwaya expressed his respect for WIPO’s contribution to the free and fair economic order and the strong leadership of Director General Tang. Minister Iwaya also expressed his expectation for the further deepening of collaboration between Japan and WIPO.
- Director General Tang expressed his gratitude for Japan’s longstanding cooperation with WIPO and his appreciation for Japan’s contribution to enhancing international cooperation.
- They also exchanged views towards further developing the partnership between Japan and WIPO.
