Video Message by Minister Hayashi for the First Tokyo International Law Seminar
On August 21, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan delivered a video message at the opening session of the first "Tokyo International Law Seminar" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Referring to Japan’s initiatives including the ministerial open debate of the Security Council in January and the Hiroshima G7 Summit in May this year, Minister Hayashi pointed out the importance of striving for the free and open international order based on the rule of law. He also stated that the Seminar was launched for providing a platform for international lawyers from Indo-Pacific region and beyond to learn together, and expressed his sincere hope that the Seminar would make a contribution to the realization of peace guided by the rule of law.
