Dispatch of the Second Half of the Japan Disaster Relief Urban Search and Rescue Team in response to the damages caused by the earthquake in the Republic of Turkey

  1. On February 7, the Government of Japan will dispatch the second half of the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Urban Search and Rescue Team to Turkey, following the dispatch of the first half from yesterday.
  2. The first half of the team departed for Turkey yesterday and has started coordination with the Turkish Government officials regarding specific assistance. 　
  3. Japan will continue to further assess the damage on the ground and consider necessary assistance based on the needs of the Turkish Government.
