Study Tour in Fukushima Prefecture for the Diplomatic Corps in Japan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will conduct a Study Tour for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan, jointly with Fukushima Prefecture on November 29 and 30, 2022.

  1. The Study Tours have been conducted annually since fiscal year 2010 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments or bodies in order to showcase regional attractions such as history, culture, tourism, local products, and industries to the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan.
  2. In this tour in Fukushima Prefecture, the diplomatic corps will visit the facilities related to the progress and current situation of reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear disaster, the Renewable energy research and digital technology under the theme of “Revitalization Tour” in Fukushima Prefecture, and also expand knowledge of a variety of Fukushima’s attractiveness such as history, culture and food.
  3. It is expected that this tour will provide a good opportunity for the participants to deepen their understanding of the progress and current situation of reconstruction in Fukushima Prefecture and its various attractiveness, and also to expand exchanges between Fukushima and the participating countries.
