Exchange of Notes concerning Japan's Cultural Grant Assistance to the Republic of Uzbekistan for “the Project for the Conservation of Silk Road Cultural Heritage through Digital Archives”

  1. On 15 November 2022, in Tashkent, H.E. Mr. FUJIYAMA Yoshinori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and H.E. Mr. Jamshid Khodjayev, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, exchanged notes concerning Japan's Cultural Grant Assistance up to the amount of 55.9 million Yen for“The Project for the Conservation of Silk Road Cultural Heritage through Digital Archives”.
  2. This project aims to provide the Cultural Heritage Agency, State Museum of History of Uzbekistan and Archiological Museum of Termez with necessary equipment for conservation of exhibited and stored items, as well as establishment of the digital archives of the items.
  3. This project is expected to strengthen the capacity building of the country's cultural property protection, and thereby contribute to promoting its culture and revitalizing communities within the Republic of Uzbekistan.
