The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan, jointly with Niigata Prefecture, Nagaoka City and Ojiya City on November 5 and 6, 2022.
- The Study Tours have been conducted annually since fiscal year 2010 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments or bodies in order to showcase regional attractions such as history, culture, tourism, local products, and industries to diplomatic corps stationed in Japan.
- This tour will be conducted in conjunction with the “World Nishikigoi Summit” to be held in Niigata City on November 6. The diplomatic corps will join the Summit and also tour for Nagaoka City and Ojiya City, the birthplaces of Nishikigoi, to visit places where they can experience the charm of not only Nishikigoi but also Niigata's proud food culture and fireworks.
