On July 7, following news of the passing on July 5 of Mr. Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, Director-General of the OPEC, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a message to Dr. Ayed S. Al-Qahtani, Director Research Division, Officer in charge of the Secretariat, that expressed his condolence as well as his deepest respect for the achievement of the Director-General of the OPEC.
