Study Tour to the City of Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture for the Diplomatic Corps in Japan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan, jointly with the City of Yokohama of Kanagawa Prefecture on April 19, 2022.
- The Study Tours have been conducted annually since fiscal year 2010 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments or bodies in order to showcase regional attractions such as history, culture, tourism, local products, and industries to diplomatic corps stationed in Japan.
- The City of Yokohama was selected as an “SDGs Future City” in 2018 and has been taking various initiatives to achieve the SDGs in cooperation with citizens and businesses. This time, participants will visit the Yokohama SDGs Design Center, an elementary school, “Social Circus” initiated by a specified Non-Profit Corporation SLOW LABEL, a biofuel Manufacturing Demonstration Plant, etc.
- It is expected that this tour will help the participants deepen their understanding of the attractiveness of the City of Yokohama and its initiatives toward the SDGs.
