Video message by State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms. SUZUKI at the side event, hosted by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), of Tokyo Nurtition for Growth Summit 2021

On November 30, Ms. SUZUKI Takako, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered a video message at an event hosted by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) titled “Making Food Affordable for Rural People: Is It Possible?”as a side event of Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G) 2021.
- In her message, State Minister Suzuki congratulated IFAD for hosting the official side event of the Tokyo N4G Summit 2021, and pointed out the need to strengthen international cooperation on global nutrition issues, recogniging that IFAD plays a significant role in achieving the SDGs.
- Furthermore, she stated that the Government of Japan aims to lead international efforts to improve nutrition around the world especially through hosting the Tokyo N4G Summit, and that Japan is determined to ensure “no one is left behind”based on the concept of human security by working closely with international organizations, including IFAD and other various stakeholders.
