Study Tour to Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, by the Diplomatic Corps in Japan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan, jointly with Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture from November 18 to 19.
- These Study Tours are held every year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments or bodies in order to showcase regional attractions such as history, culture, tourism, local products and industries to diplomats posted in Japan.
- During this Study Tour, the diplomatic corps will visit ancient ruins which listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site as a part of Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan this July. Besides the historic site, they will also visit a sports competition facilitiy. With touching Kazuno’s traditional culture, they will have a experience of hand-making local craft in this city. It is expected that this Tour will further deepen their understanding of this city and a local area in Japan.
