The 3rd Meeting of the Japan-Spain Joint Committee on Cooperation in Science and Technology


The Third Japan-Spain Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) on Cooperation in Science and Technology was held online on June 21, 2021, with H.E. Mr. NAKANE Takeshi, Ambassador for Science and Technology Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan, and Prof. Rafael Rodrigo, Secretary General for Research, Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) of Spain, serving as co-chairs for the Japanese and Spanish sides respectively.
Relevant ministries and agencies as well as researchers of both countries participated and exchanged information and views on the recent developments on science, technology and innovation policies and progress of specific research cooperation activities in various fields such as neutrino physics and astrophysics, biomedicine, material science including lithium ion battery, as well as on the frameworks for promoting research cooperation and research grants. Both sides affirmed to further strengthen their collaboration.
