Congratulatory Message from Minister Motegi to Mr. Yair Lapid on His Taking Office as the Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel

  1. On June 14 (June 13 in local time), Mr. Yair LAPID, Member of the Knesset, took office as the Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel. On June 15, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to Minister Lapid.
  2. In his letter, Minister Motegi extended his congratulations to Minister Lapid and expressed his intention to further deepen the close bilateral relations together with Minister Lapid, looking ahead to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries next year. Furthermore, Minister Motegi stated that he looks forward to exchanging views with Minister Lapid on ways to bring about regional peace and prosperity, including the realization of Middle East Peace.
