Teachers from Gaza invited to Japan pay a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Kono

- On Monday March 4, commencing at 6:05 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from ten teachers from Gaza, who are visiting Japan from March 2.
- Minister Kono expressed his pleasure to welcome the first invitees to Japan in the framework of the program announced by Prime Minister Abe last September at the General Assembly of the United Nations, and affirmed that human resource development is indispensable for peace and development in the Middle East region.
- In response, the teachers from Gaza expressed their gratitude towards the Government of Japan for creating an opportunity for them to develop their insights into Japan’s education, and expressed their will to pass on to Palestinian children what they have experienced and learned during their visit, so as to build a brighter future.
