Fourth Round of Negotiations for the Japan Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

- The Fourth Round of the Negotiations for the Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) was held from Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, July 5, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan.
- The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. Jun Yokota, Ambassador in charge of Economic Diplomacy, and the Mongolian delegation was led by Mr. Ochirbat Chuluunbat, Vice Minister for Economic Development of Mongolia. Experts from relevant ministries and agencies of both sides participated in the meetings.
- In this round, progress has been achieved through negotiations in areas including Trade in Goods, Rules of Origin, Customs Procedures, Dispute Settlement, Investment, Competition, Government Procurement, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS), Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), and E-Commerce.
- The schedule of next round will be arranged through diplomatic channels.
