Statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the Terrorist Bombing in Libya

- Japan is shocked and outraged to hear of injuries resulting from a terrorist bombing at the French Embassy in Tripoli, Libya. Japan firmly condemns this terrorist attack, as acts of terrorism cannot be justified for any reason or purpose. Japan expressed sympathies to those injured in this incident.
- Japan hopes that the Government of Libya will exert every effort toward the improvement of public security and intends to continue to support state building efforts of Libya. In addition, Japan will continue best efforts toward securing the safety of Japanese citizens in Libya.
