Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida’s Visit to The Hague and London

- From April 8 through 12, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit The Hague, Netherlands, and London, UK.
- Minister Kishida is scheduled to attend the 6th Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Initiative (NPDI) in The Hague on April 9 and the G8 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in London on April 10 and 11 to exchange views with other foreign ministers and engage in bilateral discussions.
- At the Ministerial Meeting of the NPDI, the foreign ministers will discuss concrete contributions they can make as a group to the second session of the Preparatory Committee for the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), to be held shortly after the NPDI meeting.
- At the G8 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the foreign ministers will seek to forge a common understanding of the regional state of affairs in North Korea and Syria and discuss ways to strengthen efforts to deal with cross-border challenges such as counter-terrorism.
