Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru to Visit Japan

H.E. Ms. Ana Cecilia GERVASI DIAZ, Minister of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Peru, will visit Japan from August 30 to September 2.
- During her stay in Japan, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will hold a meeting with and host a working lunch for Minister Gervasi. On this occasion, the two ministers will also pay a visit together to the Diplomatic Archives to view the special exhibition “Japan and Peru – 150th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations” and then to a sailing ship of the Navy of the Republic of Peru, which is calling at a port in Tokyo in commemoration of the 150th anniversary.
- Japan and Peru are important “strategic partners” that share values and principles, and this year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On the occasion of Minister Gervasi’s visit to Japan this time, the two ministers are expected to exchange views on how to further strengthen the longest bilateral relations among those between Japan and Latin American countries, as well as on how to address various international challenges.
- It is expected that this visit will further deepen the traditional friendship between Japan and Peru.
