Entry into Force of the Framework Agreement between Japan and the United States of America for Cooperation in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space

Diplomatic notes for the entry into force of "the Framework Agreement between Japan and the United States of America for Cooperation in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space" (signed on January 13, 2023) were exchanged recently in Washington D.C. on June 19, 2023. Following this exchange, this Agreement entered into force on the same day.
This Agreement sets forth the basic terms and conditions for Japan-U.S. space cooperation for peaceful purposes. It is expected that Japan-U.S. space cooperation will further deepen based on this Agreement.
