Support for Ukraine through contribution to NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) Trust Fund for Ukraine

On March 30, Japan contributed US$30 million (3.24 billion yen) to the CAP Trust Fund of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to support Ukraine suffering from the aggression by Russia.
This contribution is to implement provision of non-lethal equipment through NATO's Trust Fund, announced by Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to President Zelenskyy during his visit to Ukraine on March 21.
Japan will strengthen Japan-NATO cooperation while continuing its support to the Ukrainian people facing difficulties. The details of the goods to be provided through this contribution is going to be coordinated.
