Dispatch of the Japan Disaster Relief Rescue Team
in response to the damages caused by the earthquake in the Republic of Turkey

- On February 6, upon the request of the Government of the Turkey, the Government of Japan decided to dispatch the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Rescue Team to Turkey in response to the damage caused by the earthquake in order to conduct search and rescue operations. The team will depart for Turkey on the night of February 6.
- Upon the request of the Government of Turkey, and in light of humanitarian perspective and Japan’s friendship relations with Turkey, Japan has decided to provide this emergency assistance to Turkey to meet its humanitarian needs.
