On 26 January, commencing at 1:20 p.m., for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Mr. Stefano SANNINO, Secretary General, European External Action Service.

Minister Hayashi stated that he would like to continue to work closely with the EU, which shares fundamental values, and that he hoped that today's Japan-EU Senior Officials Dialogue would lead to in-depth discussions for further strengthening Japan-EU cooperation.

In addition, Minister Hayashi and Secretary-General Sannino also exchanged views on Japan-EU bilateral relations and international affairs, including East Asia and Ukraine.
