Mr. George Soleas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) Invited to Japan

Mr. George Soleas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) visited Japan from October 3 to 9 at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- During his visit, he had exchange views on the global expansion of the Japanese alcohol beverage with Mr. SAKATA Wataru, Commissioner of the National Tax Agency and Mr. TASAKI Shinya, the most recognized Japanese sommelier among others. In addion, he visited the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association and producers of Japanese Sake and Whisky.
- The province of Ontario is the center of Canada’s economy with the largest GDP and population, where Japanese companies have more than 368 operating locations. With the visit of Mr. Soleas, it is expected to deepen the friendship between Japan and Ontario and also to further promote Japanese alcohol beverages.
