The Agreement provides comprehensive and detailed rules regarding liberalization, promotion and protection of investment between Japan and Georgia. Bordering the Black Sea, Georgia finds itself in a significant location connecting Asia and Europe, and in the recent years, it has been promoting economic and infrastructure policies with a view to becoming a regional logistics hub. Georgia has also been actively working to attract foreign investments, and its favorable business climate is highly evaluated by the international community. In this regard, the interest of Japanese companies in Georgia is growing, and consequently, their investments in Georgia are expected to grow.
