Concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services
Between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Indian Armed Forces
On September 9, in New Delhi, the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of India Concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Indian Armed Forces (so-called "Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement", or ACSA) (English (PDF) / Japanese (PDF)) was signed by H. E. Mr. SUZUKI Satoshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to India, and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary, Ministry of Defence.
1. The Agreement establishes a framework such as the settlement procedures for the reciprocal provision of supplies and services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Indian Armed Forces.
2. It is expected that the Agreement will facilitate the smooth and prompt provision of supplies and services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Indian Armed Forces. The Agreement will also promote closer cooperation between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Indian Armed Forces, and enable them to actively contribute to international peace and security.
