Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between Japan and Islamic Republic of Pakistan on a Basic Framework for Information Partnership for Proper Operation of the System pertaining to Foreign Human Resources with the Status of Residence of “Specified Skilled Worker”
1. On December 23 (Monday), the Memorandum of Cooperation on a Basic Framework for Information Partnership for Proper Operation of the System pertaining to Foreign Human Resources with the Status of Residence of “Specified Skilled Worker” (English (PDF) / Japanese (PDF)
) was signed between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the National Police Agency of Japan, and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
2. The purpose of this Memorandum of Cooperation is to establish a basic framework for information partnership in order to ensure smooth and proper sending and accepting specified skilled workers (in particular to eliminate malicious intermediary organizations) and to resolve the problems of sending, accepting and residing in Japan of specified skilled workers.
3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is resolved to enhance its mutually beneficial relations with Pakistan through cooperation for proper operation of the system, in collaboration with the relevant ministries and agencies of Japan.
