Message of condolence following the wildfires in eastern Australia

On November 18，following the wildfires that occurred in eastern Australia, Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu sent the following messages to Senator the Hon Marise Payne, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia.
“I am writing to express my deepest sympathies to the Government and the people of Australia as I learned of the devastating damages caused by the wildfires in eastern Australia.
Japan stands with Australia and its people at this difficult time.
I would like to send my prayers to the victims and sincerely hope for the earliest possible end of the wildfires and recovery from this disaster.”
