The 7th Japan-US Cyber Dialogue
1. The 7th Japan-US Cyber Dialogue will be held in Tokyo on Octorber 11th, 2019.
2. At this dialogue, based on the necessity for whole-of-government efforts by both Japan and the United States, participants will follow up on the outcome of the 6th Japan-US Cyber Dialogue held in July 2018 and other meetings and have a discussion on a wide range of Japan-US cooperation on cyber issues, including situational awareness, domestic cyber policy, cooperation in international fora and capacity building.
3. Mr. Akahori Takeshi, Japan’s Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy and Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau, will lead the interagency delegation representing relevant ministries and agencies, such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security Secretariat, National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office, National Police Agency, Public Security Intelligence Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Defense. From the US side, Mr. Robert L. Strayer, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cyber and International Communications and Information Policy, Department of State, will lead the US interagency delegation representing Department of State, Department of Defense, and others.
