Emergency Assistance to the Islamic Republic of Iran in Response to the Flood Disaster

1. On April 10, upon the request of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency relief goods (tents, sleeping pads, plastic sheets) through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Iran in response to the damages caused by the recent flood.
2. Upon the request of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in light of the humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and Iran, Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance to Iran to meet its humanitarian needs.
