Study Tour to Shizuoka Prefecture by the Diplomatic Corps in Japan
1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour jointly with the Tourism Shizuoka Japan for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan from November 12 to 13.
2. These Study Tours are held every year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments or bodies in order to showcase regional attractions such as history, culture, tourism, products and industries to diplomats posted in Japan.
3. As Shizuoka Prefecture is one of the venues of 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic bicycle racing game, the diplomatic corps will visit Izu Velodrome that is the venue of the track race during this Study Tour. In addition, they will visit some facilities of bonito industry, and other facilities related to tourism, history and culture of Shizuoka prefecture. It is expected that this Tour will deepen their understanding of the area.
