MIRAI Program・2018 2nd Group (Politics, National Security)

1. From November 7th to 14th, 40 graduate and undergraduate students from Europe will visit Japan as members of the second group of MIRAI Program 2018 (Theme: Politics, National Security), promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
2. The second group will visit Tokyo and Hiroshima to experience various aspects of Japanese Politics, National security and society including traditional Japanese culture. In addition, the students will attend academic lectures at Keio University and exchange their opinions with Japanese students. In Hiroshima, students will visit the Peace Memorial Park, listen to stories of hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bombing) and learn the realities of the atomic bombing.
3. Through the program, students are expected to deepen their understanding of Japan and actively deliver messages about their experiences in Japan even after they return to their own countries.
The second group includes students from the following 25 countries;
Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,
Germany, Greece, Hungary,Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom
