1. The 6th Japan-Pakistan Security Dialogue was held on Friday, April 20 in Tokyo.

2. This Dialogue was attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Shigeki Takizaki, Director-General, Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Osamu Izawa, Director-General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, Ministry of Defense of Japan, and other officials from the two ministries. On the Pakistani side by Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad, Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Rear Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence of Pakistan and other officials from the two ministries.

3. Both sides exchanged views on security policies and counter terrorism efforts of each country as well as regional issues.
