  1. 1. On April 20, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the Commemorative Symposium for the 60th Anniversary of Japan-Indonesia Diplomatic Relations in Tokyo and delivered a keynote speech.

    2. Minister Kono, in his keynote speech, looking back on the path Japan and Indonesia have walked for the past 60 years, stated that the relations between the two countries is the closest in history in various fields as it marks the 60th year. Minister Kono also mentioned that he will make the utmost efforts so the ties between Japan and Indonesia will be further developed.

    3. Participants of the symposium from the Republic of Indonesia include H.E. Dr. Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, and H.E. Dr. Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of National Development Planning.
