Dispatch of a Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of Botswana

1. Presidential inauguration ceremony for H.E. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetse Masisi, new President of the Republic of Botswana will be held on April 1.
2. Considering the importance of the bilateral relationship between Japan and Botswana, the Government of Japan has decided to dispatch Mr. Yoshitaka Shindo, Member of the House of Representatives as a Special Envoy of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, to Botswana to attend the ceremony.
3. With this dispatch, Japan wishes to offer its congratulations on the inauguration of President Masisi and further promote the cordial and cooperative relationship between Japan and Botswana.
