Dispatch of a Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of Kenya
1. Following the result of the re-election of the President the Republic of Kenya in October this year, the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for H.E. Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta will be held on November 28.
2. Considering the importance of the bilateral relationship, the Government of Japan has decided to dispatch Mr. Katsuyuki Kawai, Special Advisor for Foreign Affairs to the President of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Vice President of the Japan-African Union Parliamentary Friendship League, as a Special Envoy of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, to Kenya to attend the ceremony.
3. With this dispatch, Japan wishes to offer its congratulations on the inauguration of President Kenyatta and further promote the cordial and cooperative relationship between Japan and Kenya.
