The President of Madagascar to Visit Japan
1. H.E. Mr. Rakotoarimanana Hery Martial Rajaonarimampianina, President of the Republic of Madagascar, and his spouse, Mrs. Voahangy Rajaonarimampianina, will pay an Official Visit to Japan from December 3 to December 6, 2017.
2. During their stay in Japan, the President and his spouse will make a State Call on Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, will also hold a meeting with the President and host a dinner.
3. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President and his spouse, and hopes that this visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Republic of Madagascar.

(1) This will be H.E. Mr. Rajaonarimampianina’s first visit to Japan.
(2) President Rajaonarimampianina had a meeting with Prime Minister Abe on the occasions of the Sixth Tokyo Internationl Conference on African Developmenet (TICAD VI) held in Nairobi in August 2016.
