Japan-China International Law Dialogue
1. On May 27th (Saturday), the Japan-China International Law Dialogue was held in Beijing, China.
2. Ms. Naoko Saiki, Director-General of the International Legal Affairs Bureau, headed the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. From the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Dr. Xu Hong, Director General of the Department of Treaty and Law, and other officials participated in the dialogue. Both sides exchanged their views on issues of mutual interest regarding international law.
3. Both sides shared the understanding that this dialogue is helpful for the promotion of mutual understanding and cooperation between Japan and China in the field of international law.
4. Both sides shared the intention to coordinate with each other to hold the next dialogue at an appropriate timing next year.
