Prime Minister of New Zealand to Visit Japan

1. The Rt. Hon. Bill English, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and his spouse will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan from Tuesday, 16 May to Thursday 18 May 2017.
2. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a meeting as well as host a dinner for the Prime Minister.
3. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister and his spouse and hopes the visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and New Zealand.

Prime Minister English has visited Japan three times in his previous position as Minister of Finance (and Deputy Prime Minister). (This will be his first visit to Japan as Prime Minister.)
