The Bombing Incident in Cairo, Egypt

1. In relation to the large number of casualties arising from the bombing incident that occurred in St Marks’s Cathedral in Cairo, on December 11(same day in Japan time), Japan expresses its sincere condolences to their families and extends its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured.
2. Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such act of terrorism. Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and its people.
