Japan’s contribution to The Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) of the International Criminal Court(ICC)
1. On November 17, on the occasion of the 15th session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Japanese delegation announced that the Government of Japan would contribute approximately 47,000 Euros to the Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) of the ICC.
2. TFV has been implementing support projects for female and child victims in the Republic of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which have been making steady progress. In addition, the TFV is expected to implement its reparation project in a full-fledged manner for the victims of the case against Mr. Thomas Lubanga Dyilo in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for which the ICC had already rendered its final judgment in 2014.
3. The entire contribution of this time will be earmarked for victims of sexual and gender-based violence.
