The 3rd Japan-UK Bilateral Consultations on Cyberspace
1. On October 12, the third Cyber Dialogue between Japan and the United Kingdom was held in Tokyo, Japan.
2. At this dialogue, both sides explained their respective latest cybersecurity efforts and strategy. They also discussed their bilateral cooperation on various issues such as critical infrastructure protection and capacity building as well as their collaboration at various fora such as the United Nations.
3. Mr. Koichi Mizushima, Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, led the Japanese delegation representing relevant ministries and agencies such as National Security Secretariat, National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office, National Police Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Defense. From the UK side, Ms. Sarah Taylor, Director Cyber Policy, National Security Directorate, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, led the UK delegation representing Foreign and Commonwealth Office and National Cyber Security Centre.
