Fourth Meeting of the Council on Safety Measures for International Cooperation Projects

1. The Fourth Meeting of the Council on Safety Measures for International Cooperation Projects took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on August 1.
2. Attendees at the meeting were Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Seiji Kihara, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Shinichi Kitaoka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and representatives from relevant ministries and agencies.
3. At this meeting, Senior Vice-Minister Kihara and President Kitaoka submitted an interim report on the expected outcomes of the review of new safety measures to Minister Kishida, and confirmed the way forward for subsequent activities.
