1. On September 30, the Council on Safety Measures for International Cooperation Projects held its first meeting since becoming a permanent council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by Mr. Kiyoshi Odawara, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kazuhiko Koshikawa, Senior Vice-President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA), as well as government officials, members of the private sector, NGO personnel, and others.

2. The participants shared information and discussed the implementation of measures that were compiled in the Final Report of the Council released on August 30, as well as safety measures in Bangladesh.
