Japan, China, and ROK Trilateral Youth Summit 2016
1. Japan, China, and ROK Trilateral Youth Summit 2016 was held in Tokyo and Ishikawa Prefecture from August 22 to 26.
2. 30 university students from Japan, China and ROK, 10 future leaders from each country, participated in the Trilateral Youth Summit with the aim of achieving the common goal of “building regional trust and cooperation”
3. After receiving a lecture in Tokyo, the participants visited Ishikawa Prefecture. They gained a further understanding of “Community development addressing declining birthrate and aging population” through visits to related institutions and exchange of views with relevant people.
4. On the basis of the situation in their countries and the experience in this Trilateral Youth Summit, the participants discussed and made policy recommendations on the topic of “declining birthrate and aging population” in the mock summit which was held in Tokyo on August 25.
