Establishment of Cyber Security Policy Division, Foreign Policy Bureau
1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will establish the Cyber Security Policy Division under the National Security Policy Division in the Foreign Policy Bureau on July 12, 2016.
2. As the importance of cyberspace has increased, cyber threats are rapidly growing. Against this backdrop, MOFA will establish the new division in order to lead international discussions on how to ensure a safe and secure cyberspace, strengthening coordination with other countries.
3. In the cooperation with relevant government agencies and a wide range of actors in the private sector, MOFA will continue to actively conduct foreign policy in the field of cyber from a comprehensive perspective, especially promoting the rule of law in cyberspace, confidence building, and capacity building of developing countries.
