Emergency Grant Aid to Ecuador for the Earthquake Damage

1. On Friday, June 17, the Government of Japan decided to implement Emergency Grant Aid amounting to 1.35 million USD (approximately 150 million JPY) in response to the earthquake damage in Ecuador, through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
2. In this Emergency Grant Aid, emergency assistance such as water and sanitation, shelter, and assistance for early recovery is to be provided for the areas most affected by the earthquake in Ecuador.
