UN-facilitated talks on Yemen in Switzerland

1. Japan welcomes the beginning of the UN-facilitated Talks on Yemen on December 15, 2015. Japan also appreciates the ceasefire and the efforts by Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen for stability of Yemen.
2. Japan hopes that the relevant parties in the talks negotiate in a serious manner for the stabilization of Yemen.
3. Japan intends to continue to support the efforts by the Yemenis for a final ceasefire agreement in coordination with the international community.
