Courtesy Call with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. MUTO Yoji by Secretary General Mr. YANG Houlan and other members of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat
On Monday, December 14, commencing at 4:00 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. MUTO Yoji received a courtesy call from Secretary General Mr. YANG Houlan and other members of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, during their visit to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
1. State Minister Mr. Muto expressed his hope that the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat would play a role to promote future-oriented trilateral cooperation among Japan, China and the Republic of Korea. He also stated that he positively recognized the various actions taken by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, and expressed his desire to continue to support its activities.
2. In response, Secretary General Mr. Yang Houlan expressed gratitude for the Government of Japan’s support for the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, and expressed his hope for continued support from Japan. He also stated that the Secretariat would like to further contribute to trilateral cooperation among Japan, China and the Republic of Korea.
