Messages of Condolences from Prime Minister Abe and Foreign Minister Kishida for the Damage Caused by the Floods in Pakistan

In the wake of the flooding in the Indus River valley and damage in a wide area of Pakistan caused by the torrential rain since the middle of July, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister, and Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, sent messages respectively to Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister, and Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, on August 4, which extend condolences to the affected people and wishes for rapid recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas and conveyed Japan's readiness to provide assistance upon a request from the Government of Pakistan.
