Agreement on the substance on the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Italian Republic on the Security of Information

1. The Government of Japan and the Government of the Italian Republic have reached agreement on the substance on the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Italian Republic on the Security of Information.
Both governments will now accelerate their respective necessary procedures towards an early signing and conclusion of the Agreement.

2. The Agreement stipulates procedures to appropriately protect information which is shared between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Italian Republic and needs to be protected within the scope of respective domestic laws and regulations in effect.

3. This Agreement aims to establish the foundation to enhance information sharing and cooperation between Japan and Italy. It is expected that cooperation in the area of security between the two countries will be further strengthened by this Agreement.
