Issuance of Multiple Entry Visas for Short-term Stay for Nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil
1. The Government of Japan has decided to begin from June 15, issuance of multiple entry visas for short-term stay to nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil (ordinary passport holders) who reside in their home country.
2. This decision was taken following the announcement by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe when he visited Brazil last year that the Government of Japan would introduce multiple entry visas based on the recognition that this measure would further promote the bilateral exchange between Japan and Brazil.
3. It is expected that this will help increase the number of Brazilian tourists to Japan and improve convenience in business activities, thus further developing bilateral exchanges between Japan and Brazil.
